Crafting inclusive job adverts is essential to attracting top female talent. An analysis of 158 HR job listings reveals that as salaries and seniority rise, the use of masculine language increases, while mentions of flexible working and EDI (equality, diversity, inclusion) diminish—potentially deterring women from applying. To help counter this, Dr Louise Oldridge and Dr Maranda Ridgway from Nottingham Business School, give their advice on creating inclusive job adverts, so they do not inadvertently turn away female talent.
